Key Responsibilities
- Providing one-on-one or small-group support to students with SEND, tailoring your approach to their unique needs
- Assisting teachers in lesson planning and delivery, ensuring that the curriculum is accessible and engaging for all students
- Collaborating with the wider team, including therapists and specialists, to develop and implement individualised learning strategies
- Promoting the social, emotional, and academic development of SEND students through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback
- Actively participating in staff training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Contributing to the broader development of our SEND provision, including the creation of engaging extracurricular activities
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant experience working with students with SEND, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and the wider school community
- Excellent problem-solving and adaptability, able to respond effectively to the diverse needs of your students
- A deep commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting the growth and development of SEND students
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive equipment, or a willingness to learn
- Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- A valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel to the school site in Mile End, Greater London
