Imaging Assistant in Breast Diagnostics
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Imaging Assistant to join the Breast diagnostics Team at Barts Health, Assisting Radiologists and Radiographers within Breast Imaging.
This is a clinical role requiring knowledge of assistant diagnostics practices within NHS service.
PLEASE NOTE
Due to the nature of this role within the Breast Unit and the need to respect patient privacy and dignity, this position is subject to a Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010, and is therefore open to female applicants only.
- organising Ultrasound sessions; calling patients in and checking ID; explaining procedures; answering patient questions;
- assisting the Radiologist/Radiographer during examinations; assisting with procedures including aseptic technique;
- delivering the highest level of patient care;
- assisting on reception when required;
- monitoring stock levels

Salary threshold
The role must meet the minimum salary set by the Home Office. Please note that for roles employed under Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, the High-Cost Area Supplement (HCAS) is not included when calculating the basic salary for the purposes of sponsorship.

Skill level
The role must meet the minimum skill requirement of RQF Level 6 or above (graduate level).

English language
Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency at CEFR level B2 or higher.
