Senior Clinical Fellow Breast TIG | Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic trainee to join the Breast Unit at the Royal Free Hospital as a Breast TIG Fellow. This fellowship is designed to provide high-quality, supervised training in all aspects of benign and malignant breast disease, with a particular emphasis on oncoplastic breast surgery within a busy tertiary referral centre.

The successful applicant will join a team of eight breast surgery consultants and 5 specialty doctors . The department is also supported by one consultant nurse and two lead breast nurses and ten clinical nurse specialists along with six breast radiology consultants.

The successful candidate will become an integral member of the multidisciplinary breast team, participating in outpatient clinics, operating lists, multidisciplinary team meetings, diagnostic services, and on-call commitments as appropriate. The post offers comprehensive exposure to contemporary breast cancer management, including breast conservation, mastectomy, reconstructive techniques, axillary surgery, and the management of benign breast conditions.

The fellowship provides excellent opportunities to develop operative skills, contribute to teaching, clinical governance, quality improvement, and research, while working alongside experienced breast and oncoplastic surgeons in a supportive educational environment. The post is aligned with the objectives of the Training Interface Group (TIG) programme and is ideally suited to a higher surgical trainee committed to a career in breast and oncoplastic surgery.
