The Opportunity

A well-established and highly regarded NW construction contractor is looking to appoint an experienced

Senior / Project Manager to join its growing team.

With a strong pipeline of secured work the business is delivering a diverse portfolio of projects from £10m - £50m in value including:

Commercial and office developments

-

Residential new-build and refurbishment projects

-

Hotel and hospitality projects

-

Healthcare and education developments

-

Heritage and listed building refurbishments

-

Façade, external envelope and major refurbishment projects

The Role

The successful candidate will take a lead role in the delivery of construction projects from

pre-construction and inception through to completion, handover and customer care.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Leading project teams and ensuring safe, high-quality delivery
  • Managing projects to programme and budget
  • Preparing Contractors' Proposals and reviewing Employers' Requirements
  • Managing client relationships and maintaining strong communication
  • Leading operational management of live projects and bids
  • Working closely with Commercial, Pre-Construction, HSEQ, Planning and Senior Management teams
  • Developing detailed project programmes
  • Identifying and resolving project issues effectively
  • Supporting the development and mentoring of junior team members

About You

The ideal candidate will have

  • Proven experience as a

Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within construction

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good commercial and contractual awareness
  • Excellent knowledge of construction techniques, sequencing and methodologies
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to manage demanding programmes, budgets and deadlines
