Full-Time Groom/rider Wanted – Sales & Jumping

Yard (West Sussex) The Role

• Rota week will include weekends •

Usual yard duties

mucking out, feeding, haying, tidying, walker duties, and checking youngsters/mares • Clipping and turnout to a high standard essential • Handling youngsters, fit competition horses, and stallions • Grooming at home and possibility to go away to shows • Riding a variety of horses at different ages and stages to produce primarily for jumping , ideal candidate would ride to a high standard and have opportunities to ride in the ring.

The apprenticeship is practical based so not lots of time spent in a classroom. If you did not gain your GCSE'S at school we can support you to gain these whilst on programme.

You have to have been in the UK for 3 years to apply for this role. Due to the nature of this role you must be competent around horses.

Training

All training will be provided on

site during your paid working hours.

Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination

of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training

Trainer Coach.

Qualifications required

A GCSE or equivalent pass in English

and maths is beneficial but not essential.

If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your

Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.

Skills required

Would be ideal if they already compete have a passion for SJ

Learning about breaking and producing horses upto top level
