Work pattern
3 days/21 hours per week,1 day per week (Wednesday – day is non-negotiable) in office with Legal team
To provide practical contract support to the Legal and Compliance team, assisting with the preparation, review, administration and coordination of contracts. The role will support Legal and Compliance staff to ensure contracts are managed efficiently, consistently, and in line with university policies and procedures.
Key Tasks
To draft, review and negotiate a range of contracts across different departments within the university including procurement, partnerships and estates.
To advise on the risks associated with draft contract terms, options available and to lead on contract negotiations as required.
Maintain accurate contract records and register of the agreements.
Liaise with academic, professional services to assist in progressing contract matters efficiently.
To undertake legal research as required, and to monitor legal, regulatory and sector-specific developments and advise on their potential impact on the University.
To manage relationships with internal stakeholder clients, and external contacts, maintaining the good reputation of the University�s legal services function and delivering an excellent level of service.
Any other duties as may reasonably be requested.
