About this role

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a compassionate, patient, skilled and dedicated part-time permanent Highter Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our welcoming team at Oswald Road Primary School. This role would be ideal for someone with experience supporting pupils with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH). We are seeking someone who is committed to supporting children to feel safe, understood and ready to learn.

The successful candidate will work closely with Class Teachers and our school Learning Support Team to provide personalised support for pupils who may be experiencing Social Emotional Mental Health difficulties. Support may be delivered on a one to one basis, in small groups or within the classroom environment. The successful candidate will support pupils through evidence-based interventions and flexible trauma informed approaches, while building trusting relationships with pupils and families. They will also be required to work collaboratively with school staff and outside agencies.

The role may be adjusted or adapted over time to meet the needs of our school cohort.

This is a part-time role, with the successful candidate being required to attend Monday-Friday starting late morning and working until the end of the school day.

Please apply through the vacancies section on the school website.
