About this role
The Communications and Engagement Officer will lead on community engagement, partnership development, and communications activity for the One You Kent service across a defined locality, while supporting county-wide priorities where required. The postholder will build and maintain strong relationships with local partners, healthcare providers, community organisations, and residents to increase awareness of the service and strengthen referral pathways. The role will involve delivering effective digital, marketing, and media activity across a range of channels, including managing social media, creating engaging content, supporting campaigns, and promoting the service through local media opportunities. The postholder will work closely with ABLs central communications team to ensure consistent, accessible, and high-quality communications that support service objectives and KPI delivery. In addition, the postholder will contribute to co-production and service development activities, monitor and report on engagement and communications performance, and support continuous improvement across the service. This is a varied and flexible role requiring strong organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, including occasional evening and weekend work where required.
