depending on experience Lingfield Surgery is seeking a bright, enthusiastic and team-playing Nurse to join the clinical team. The role will be based at Lingfield surgery. The practice is rated as 'good' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and benefits from a friendly, supportive and well-established nursing team. The wider team consists of one Paramedic Practitioner, two nurses, one clinical pharmacist, one pharmacy technician and three Healthcare assistants/phlebotomists. In addition to this, there are three salaried GPs overseen by two partners. We are seeking applications from current Practice Nurses as well as current Lead Practice Nurses. We are also interested in hearing from applicants who have an interest in joining primary care. This is a part-time position (minimum of 24 hours per week); however, full-time working will be considered. The salary is competitive and dependent upon experience. The role will be varied, and the successful applicant will have the following responsibilities whilst undertaking the role:

Overall Job Responsibilities

Delivering a high standard of patient care using high-level autonomous clinical skills and a broad and in-depth theoretical knowledge base Dealing with presenting patients needs in a primary care setting. Responding effectively to patient needs and ensuring patient choice and ease of access to services. Promoting healthy lifestyles and participating in national immunisation and screening programmes. Enabling patients to manage their long-term health care needs and to achieve their full potential in terms of independent living. Carrying out all duties in accordance with the NMC Code of professional conduct and with regard to the various local and national policies, guidelines and protocols.

Clinical Responsibilities

Undertake clinical duties with relevant training in some or all of the areas: Cervical Cytology Immunisations Child and Adult Ear Care Minor Injuries Phlebotomy Wound Care and dressings Travel Health Immunisations and Advice Actively encourage and facilitate choices for patients by providing health promotion during routine screening procedures eg: new patient health checks, cervical cytology and long-term conditions management. Communicating complex information to patients and relatives where needed, with a variety of diverse needs, using negotiation and persuasive skills to motivate. Working with nursing, medical and health care assistant colleagues to ensure the National Service Frameworks are being delivered.
