At Lidl we are looking for an Employment Law Specialist to join the team in Tolworth offers a key opportunity to drive impact across Employment Law matters. Be yourself, by supporting the team in providing Employment Law advice to head office and regional teams, advising on internal projects and developing policies and procedures that ensure our ongoing legal compliance. Leveraging your professional expertise and legal background, you will apply a pragmatic, commercial approach to resolving complex issues. This includes providing daily counsel on contract management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, discrimination, restructuring, and employment policy development.

What you'll do

  • Providing Employment Law support on internal projects and initiatives
  • Supporting restructures, reorganisations and business change management
  • Providing advice on employee relations issues including disciplinaries and grievances
  • Supporting in employment tribunal litigation
  • Creating and delivering Employment Law training to regional offices
  • Influencing & supporting Employment legal compliance
  • Drafting internal policy and procedures and internal HR document review
  • Drafting and amending Contracts of Employment

What you'll need

  • A qualified solicitor with experience in Employment Law
  • In-house experience desired, though not a must
  • Comprehensive and current knowledge of all legislation and case law pertinent to the role
  • Prior exposure to immigration law is highly desirable
  • Ability to implement commercially based, practical solutions to mitigate Employee Relation related risks
  • Ability to influence internal stakeholders, with strong communication and influencing skills
  • Experience within a retail or hospitality environment would be advantageous
