About this role
Hope Homecare is looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Home Care Workers to join our friendly nurse-led team. The role involves supporting adults and children within their own homes, including individuals with complex care needs, while promoting independence, dignity, and person-centred care.
As a Home Care Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to service users within the community, helping them maintain comfort, safety, and wellbeing in their own homes.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care
Support service users with mobility, moving and handling, and safe use of equipment
Assist with medication administration and monitor service user wellbeing
Support individuals with complex care needs following full training provided by the company
Prepare meals and assist with nutrition and hydration
Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
Maintain accurate care records and report concerns appropriately
Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for service users
Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider care team
Travel safely between service users’ homes within the community
Requirements
A caring, compassionate, and reliable attitude
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous care experience is welcome but not essential as full training will be provided
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
Sponsorship may be available for drivers with their own vehicles
