Speciality Doctor Ophthalmology

To provide general Ophthalmic services, under the supervision of a consultant ophthalmologist. The post-holder would also be supported to develop a particular interest in a subspeciality area, complete clinical sessions in theatre, specialist and general clinics, support the eye department 24 hour on call for emergencies as part of the non-resident on call rota, be involved in triage of referrals and supported professional activities including research and audit. To have excellent team working skills and the abilities and professional attitude to work well in a multi-disciplinary team. To deliver clinical and quality targets both agreed nationally and locally. Duties will be divided between direct care delivery and supporting activities such as administration and professional development.
