Rehabilitation Assistant (Part-Time)

This is a part-time position, with working hours to be agreed. Please note the applicant will need to commit to consistent hours.
The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes
Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Orthotists, Prosthetists, Counsellors, Technical Instructors, Administrative staff and Rehabilitation Engineers.
The role involves supporting rehabilitation across all services, including
- Delivering group sessions and one-to-one rehabilitation
- Assisting in clinic settings and home visits
- Working collaboratively within the team while also demonstrating initiative and independence
The role also includes a range of non-clinical duties, such as
- Stock monitoring and equipment ordering
- Equipment maintenance
- Supporting audits
- General administrative and IT-based tasks
We are looking for someone who
- Is motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Has strong organisational and communication skills
- Is confident in using IT systems
- Has an interest in rehabilitation and supporting people with physical disabilities
Bowley Close Rehabilitation Centre is home to the Regional Specialist Rehabilitation Service, providing a comprehensive range of services including Orthotics, Amputee Rehabilitation (Prosthetics), Wheelchairs & Seating, and Assistive Communication. Led by Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) alongside a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine, we deliver specialist rehabilitation to individuals of all ages living with long-term physical disabilities in the community.
Located in Crystal Palace, our centre operates Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 (excluding bank holidays). The site benefits from convenient on-site parking (front driveway and rear car park) and a large garden area.
