An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly growing M&E contractor delivering commercial fit-out projects across London.

The company is experiencing significant year-on-year growth, currently expanding at approximately 33% annually, and is looking to strengthen its commercial team with multiple new hires.

Working on commercial fit-out projects with values of up to £10m, this role offers an attractive opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and financial aspects of M&E packages across commercial fit-out projects.
• Prepare and manage valuations, applications, payments, and variations.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and ensure commercial performance is maintained.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Assist with the procurement and negotiation of subcontract packages.
• Assess variations, change control, and additional costs.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare monthly commercial reports and financial forecasts.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers, Contracts Managers, and site teams.
• Maintain strong commercial relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Assist with final accounts and project close-out.
• Provide commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor within the construction or M&E sector.
• Strong background in commercial fit-out projects.
• Experience managing M&E packages on projects up to approximately £10m.
• Strong understanding of valuations, variations, procurement, subcontract management, and final accounts.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively alongside project and site teams.
• Ambitious approach with a desire to progress into senior commercial management.
