We are looking for a Registered Manager, to join us at our service Willowmead based in East Molesey.

WIllowmead is a supported living service which provides person-centred care and support for individuals situated in East Molesey, Surrey.

As the Registered Manager, you display compassionate leadership and astute operational management. You are the driving force behind the service, offering both oversight and a personal touch to ensure the well-being and satisfaction of the individuals who live at Willowmead. Your role is pivotal in fostering an environment of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

You will oversee the complete management and development of Willowmead, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of CQC compliance. With a meticulous eye for detail, you will ensure the most appropriate use of resources, maintaining a balance between quality care and operational efficiency.

What you'll be working

We're flexible, so you'll work a total 40 hours per week;

  • Working 5 days a week
  • 40 Hrs per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • £45,000 FTE Per Annum (Pro rata)

What you'll be doing

Your responsibilities include maintaining compliance with all regulatory bodies, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC), upholding our commitment to excellence as the face and voice of Willowmead. As the Registered Manager, your leadership will inspire a culture of respect, dignity, and integrity, positioning Willowmead as a beacon of trust and exceptional care in the community.

  • Provide visionary leadership and effective supervision to the Deputy Manager, Team Leaders, and care staff, ensuring the establishment of competent management structures that offer reliable support both during operational hours and via an out-of-hours on-call system.
  • Implement and maintain robust Local Governance protocols to ensure the service operates within a framework of excellence, demonstrating your awareness in care management.
  • Direct the recruitment, daily supervision, and overall management of staff, ensuring an informed workforce that is adequate in number, diversity, qualification, and experience to meet the needs of our individuals.
  • Drive full bed occupancy with strategic marketing and effective processing of referrals & assessments, utilising insights to match the services offered with the needs of potential individuals.
  • Oversee the protection and safeguarding of all individuals, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures with a lens for risk assessment and intervention strategies.
  • Lead the development of staff by identifying training needs through Supervision, Development Review, and Appraisal systems, and actively participate in the delivery of this training.
  • Ensure the production and submission of audits which are of high quality and delivered within established deadlines.
  • Respond to regulatory body enquiries and reports with detailed knowledge and appropriateness, reflecting the high standards of the service.
  • Maintain a culture of confidentiality and privacy in accordance with company policies, especially with respect to the sensitive information of individuals.

What you'll have

  • A legal right to work in the UK
  • In-depth knowledge of governance, safeguarding principles, and the regulatory landscape, with a strong grasp of the legislation framework impacting social care and supported living services.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in guiding care teams, including staff, fostering an environment of professional growth and care excellence.
  • Autonomous in decision-making with a strong initiative, capable of navigating complex scenarios and operational ambiguities with a solution-focused mindset.
  • A person -centred approach to care with robust negotiation skills, capable of engaging with professionals, individuals' families, and key stakeholders effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with experience in data interpretation, coupled with proficient budgetary and financial management skills to maintain fiscal health and resource allocation.
  • Agile and proactive in updating care practices, open to innovation and evidence-based practices to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Superior organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise critical managerial tasks to ensure efficient operation of the Service.
  • Influential communication skills, adept at advocating for individuals needs and the Willowmeads interests at all organisational levels and with external networks.
  • Strong commercial awareness , with an understanding of how care delivery impacts business performance and sustainability.
  • A versatile and adaptive demeanour, ready to take on new challenges and lead by example in both care and managerial capacities, inspiring change and continuous improvement.
