We are seeking a reliable, caring, and trustworthy personal support assistant to assist an engaging 22-year-old female student with a learning disability. This role focuses on assisting her to college, promoting her independence, building her confidence in public spaces, and planning active and accessible activities.

Core Responsibilities

Travel Training & Support

Accompany the young woman on public buses to and from her college two days a week. You will help her learn the route, read timetables, handle bus fares/passes, and develop road safety awareness.

Activity Planning

Collaborate with her one day a week to research, plan, and enjoy a day trip or social activity (e.g., visiting a café, museum, cinema, arcade, mini golf, shopping centre or local park).

Safety & Well-being

Provide a reassuring, safe environment, ensuring she is protected from vulnerability while out in public.

Confidence Building

Encourage her to speak for herself (e.g., ordering her own food or buying her own tickets) to grow her social skills.
