A supportive children’s residential home in South East England is looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join its dedicated team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and ready to step into a leadership role within residential childcare.
Working alongside the management team, the successful candidate will help lead shifts, mentor colleagues and support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties in a safe, caring and positive environment.
The Role
Responsibilities will include
- Leading and managing shifts.
- Supporting and mentoring Residential Support Workers.
- Providing direct support and keyworking to young people.
- Promoting safeguarding and positive outcomes at all times.
- Supporting care plans, risk assessments and daily records.
- Helping maintain a safe, welcoming and well-run home.
- Building positive relationships with families and professionals.
- Administering medication when trained and authorised.
About you
Essential
- Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People’s Services (or equivalent).
- Experience supporting children and young people, including managing challenging behaviour.
- Leadership or senior support experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
Desirable
- Experience within a children’s residential setting.
- Mentoring or coaching experience.
- Flexibility around shifts.
- Good IT skills.
