Teacher of Science

Acland Burghley School is looking to appoint a well-qualified teacher of Science
from September 2026 to join our friendly and successful Faculty team.
This is an excellent career opportunity for a strong classroom teacher to work in a thriving inner-city comprehensive which has inclusion at its core. We have an experienced and committed team of teachers. Science is a popular choice for post-16 students. Our dynamic faculty offers a full range of courses from KS3-5, including A levels in Biology and Chemistry as well as L3 vocational offers in Applied Science and Medical Science. We have an experienced and committed team and excellent facilities including two technicians.
The successful candidate will be passionate about learning in Science, and will demonstrate a strong commitment to ensuring that every child achieves the highest possible academic standards. You will be able to teach to A Level, and will have an interest in supporting students in KS3-5 in wider aspects of their personal and academic development. This post would be suitable for a well-qualified ECT.

In 2020, we entered into a long-term residency agreement with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, who now have their offices and rehearsals on our site.
