About this role
To provide advanced levels of autonomous clinical practices to assess, investigate, diagnose, treat and/or refer patients by acting within the parameters of approved pathways and Trust guidelines. The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of health care to patients within the Minor Injuries Service. To work towards fulfilling the expectations, core capabilities and competencies of an advanced nurse/ care practitioner. This will be achieved through workplace-based assessments in clinical practice, with a named clinical supervisor, and clinical supervision in own or similar service/speciality area The post holder will be expected to interpretate x-ray images and follow agreed treatment pathways and complete three yearly IRMER (Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations). The candidate should have at least three years experience working in an accident and emergency department, urgent treatment center, walk in center or general practice, with a keen interest and/or experience in the assessment and treatment of minor injuries. RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES To demonstrate nursing expertise and clinical knowledge, in accordance with the NMC and act as a resource for the Trust.
