Hays Education is currently seeking creative and enthusiastic Art Teachers to work across a variety of secondary schools in North London. Due to strong demand from our partner schools, we are looking to register talented Art specialists who are available for daily supply, short-term cover and long-term placements.Whether you are an experienced Art Teacher looking for greater flexibility or an ECT keen to gain experience across different school settings, Hays Education can help you find opportunities that suit your career goals.

Your new role

As a Supply Art Teacher, you will

  • Deliver engaging and creative Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with some opportunities at Key Stage 5.
  • Encourage students to develop their artistic skills, creativity and confidence.
  • Adapt to a range of school environments and teaching settings.
  • Follow lesson plans and maintain continuity of learning.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture where students can thrive.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Art within UK secondary schools.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for inspiring creativity and artistic expression.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Hays.
