Field Supervisor – Community‑Based Domiciliary Care

Percurra is growing, and we’re seeking a confident, organised Field Supervisor to support our expanding community‑based service. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills who enjoys guiding care teams, completing quality checks, delivering training, and ensuring safe, person‑centred care for clients living independently at home.

This is a varied, fast‑paced role combining planned visits, reactive support, staff supervision, and quality assurance across Northamptonshire and Rutland.

Role Overview

As a Field Supervisor, you will provide day‑to‑day oversight of care delivery, ensuring our teams follow Percurra standards and CQC requirements. You’ll complete assessments, spot checks, supervisions, and competency reviews while supporting staff development and promoting excellent client outcomes.

This role requires strong organisation, confident decision‑making, and a compassionate, person‑centred approach.

Key Responsibilities

Client Support & Quality Assurance

Complete community visits to assess client needs, risks, and wellbeing

Carry out initial assessments, reviews, and changes in care needs

Contribute to person‑centred care plans and risk assessments

Promote independence, dignity, and positive outcomes for clients

Maintain accurate, audit‑ready documentation aligned with Percurra and CQC standards

Staff Leadership & Development

Lead and support care teams, offering guidance, coaching, and problem‑solving

Conduct staff spot checks, supervisions, and competency assessments

Deliver training on care standards, safeguarding, documentation, and client‑specific needs

Provide hands‑on practical training to develop staff confidence and skills

Support new starters through induction, shadowing, and ongoing mentoring

Medication Oversight

Oversee medication safety, including MAR reviews and safe administration practices

Complete medication competency checks and provide corrective coaching where needed

Ensure staff follow safe, compliant medication procedures

Professional Communication

Liaise with families, GPs, district nurses, social workers, and other professionals

Respond to reactive situations, offering guidance and solutions to staff in the field

Represent Percurra professionally within the community

What We’re Looking For

Experience in domiciliary care, community support, or a similar care‑leadership role

Strong team‑leading, mentoring, or supervisory experience

Good understanding of medication safety and MAR processes

Confident delivering training and supporting staff development

Excellent communication, documentation, and organisational skills

Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload

Full UK driving licence

Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or already working towards it)
