About the role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Operations & Logistics Associate to join our Dishpatch team under the Waitrose line of business.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the seamless transfer of finished products to chilled, frozen, or ambient storage locations, while inspecting all incoming goods to verify their quantities, quality, temperatures, and documentation. You will ensure strict compliance with food safety and traceability requirements by overseeing correct product labelling and printing functions, alongside managing production inventory processes to maintain adequate stock and highly accurate stock takes at all times. Beyond stock management, you will oversee essential building management functions to ensure our facility standards and operational safety are consistently maintained

Customers can choose from over 30 Dishpatch menus delivered to their doorstep nationally on Fridays – perfect timing for an indulgent weekend meal! Unlike other meal kit companies, Dishpatch’s dishes come pre-prepared with only a few simple steps to finish and serve, truly taking the hassle out of high-end home dining for our customers.
- Salary - Salary up to £32,000 depending on experience
- Contract type - This position is a Permanent contract.
- Working pattern/flexible working - 35 hours per week Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Control
Safely move finished products to chilled, frozen, or ambient storage. Inspect incoming goods for quality, quantity, and temperature, and ensure everything is accurately labeled for food safety and traceability.

Packaging & Sourcing
Source, order, and track packaging stock and materials to keep our fulfillment processes running seamlessly.

Print Function Oversight
Manage weekly printing schedules to ensure our stickers and menus meet quality standards.

Site Safety & Facilities
Support day-to-day building operations, help maintain health and safety regulations, and keep accurate operational records.

Team Collaboration & Improvement
Work across departments (product, creative, and production) to help launch and improve operational workflows and systems.

Ad-Hoc Support
Tackle additional operational, administrative, or facility tasks as needed to support the evolving needs of the business.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need
- Extensive experience in operations or logistics, directly handling inventory tracking, order fulfillment, and shipping processes

Hands-on stock procurement
Experience ordering packaging supplies, managing lead times, and keeping accurate inventory levels.

Tech-proficient
Working knowledge of spreadsheet software (Excel / Google Sheets) and Inventory/Order Management Systems (OMS/WMS

Action-oriented & adaptable
A proven ability to prioritise urgent tasks, take initiative, and adapt quickly to ambiguity and changing needs

Safety conscious
A solid understanding of basic workplace safety standards and hazard management.

Highly methodical problem-solving skills and a high level of accuracy in your work
Desirable skills/experience you may have

Systems Implementation Experience
Prior involvement in setting up or rolling out new operational tools, software, or workflows.

Facility Support
Background in basic building management or contractor coordination.

Formal Safety Certifications
IOSH, NEBOSH, or a current First Aid at Work certificate.

Cross-Functional Experience
Work history liaising directly with creative, production, or product development teams.

Food Industry Background
Experience working within a food, beverage, or perishable goods environment (e.g.,handling food-grade packaging, allergen control, or temperature-sensitive stock).
