Bedfordshire Community Health Services has an exciting opportunity foran InterimDeputy Director postto join our Directorate Management Team at this exciting time of change within health and social care and are seeking confident, authentic, innovative leaders who have considerable experience within health and social care systems and are committed to co-production and compassionate leadership.

The Deputy Director for Bedfordshire Community Health Services provides leadership and operational management for the community health services in Bedfordshire in order to meet regulatory, business plans and contractual obligations, managing risks effectively and ensuring effective relationships are maintained with all our partners and external agencies. The post holder holds operational responsibility for district nursing, palliative care, specialist nursing and community therapy services whilst working alongside the Deputy Director for unplanned care (Bedfordshire and Luton wide role). This senior role will foster a culture that facilitates high staff morale and excellent service user experience.

The post holder will support, contribute and where appropriate lead the development of neighbourhood based models of care that support the delivery of shifting care closer to home, improved population health and more proactive and preventative care. They will work in collaboration with key stakeholders and take a lead role at place level in the development and maintenance of partnership arrangements, supporting the implementation of the Trusts Community Health strategy.

The successful candidate will be an experienced health or social care professional in an operational clinical or non-clinical capacity, have the knowledge and experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams, delivery of services and leading transformation to reflect local and national strategy.
