About this role

An exciting oppoturnity has arisen for a highly motivated sonographer to undertake a band 8a role which will allow the right candidate to expand their knowledge and skills in day to day management of an ultrasound department, and enable them to make a real difference and improvements for all staff. Includes 15% Retention and recruitment allowance.

 To manage one of the Imaging Modality services of the Community

Diagnostic Centre and Ealing Hospital Ultrasound Departments on a day-to

day basis, to undertake Imaging and be responsible for the training of other

radiographers and where necessary students. Line Management

responsibilities and to assist in the day-to-day running of the Radiology

Department. It is a job requirement to coordinate and where reasonable,

meet waiting targets relevant to the area.

 To on lead on issues relating to clinical governance and equipment

maintenance for the modality.

 Undertake clinical work and maintaining high standard of work of own and

other members of staff.

 Deputise and provide support for the Clinical Lead Sonographer.

 Maintain and supervise waiting list targets for the modality.
