About this role
The post-holder will work in a defined drug and alcohol service and work within a specific location, whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role. These posts are suitable for people with a degree or equivalent qualifications, who have the right personal qualities. As a Trainee Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner, you will be expected to work under supervision as part of a community drug and alcohol service, supporting people to receive the right care and delivering psychologically informed interventions. During the one-year graduate certificate or postgraduate certificate training, you will, under supervision, develop knowledge and practice skills to employ wellbeing-focused psychologically informed interventions for adults individually and in groups, with specific focus on clients who are or have been affected by substance misuse problems.
