Our 43 bedded home provides residential and residential dementia care in Droylsden, just outside Manchester. Sunnyside is a welcoming, homely care home with comfortable communal areas, a peaceful enclosed garden and a strong sense of community. The home provides a supportive environment where colleagues can develop their skills while delivering person centred care and making a difference to residents every day.
Housekeeping Assistant Contract
- £13.45 - £13.95 per hour
- Contracted to 30 hours per week
- Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview
As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.
You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care.
Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.

- Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial
- Previous experience is welcomed but not essential
