What skills and experience we're looking for
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Art/DT degree or equivalent academic qualification
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Art and DT
- Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Effective classroom management skills
- Competence in using data to track and improve student progress
- High expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
- Experience of marking for examination boards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working with children across the age and ability range appropriate to the role
- Previous experience teaching maths in a school setting
- Recognises the contribution and achievement of colleague
- Treats others fairly, openly and consistently
- Keeps colleagues, stakeholders and/or customers informed of progress
- Expresses disagreement or challenges views calmly, constructively and tactfully
