Remedy Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to join a specialist SEMH school in East London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hands-on professional to play an important role in maintaining a safe, secure and well-functioning school environment.

About the Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the school premises. You will ensure the site is maintained to a high standard, health and safety requirements are met, and any maintenance or facilities issues are dealt with efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance and security of the school site
  • Liaising with contractors and overseeing repairs and maintenance work
  • Carrying out routine site inspections and health & safety checks
  • Assisting with fire safety procedures, risk assessments and compliance requirements
  • Managing the opening and closing of the school premises when required
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock, equipment and relevant site documentation
  • Reporting and responding promptly to any site, maintenance or security concerns
  • Confidently using school systems, email and Microsoft Office for administrative tasks

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have

  • Previous experience working as a Site Manager, Caretaker, Facilities Manager or in a similar role
  • Excellent IT skills and confidence using computers, electronic systems and Microsoft Office
  • A good understanding of health & safety procedures and compliance
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive, dependable and practical approach to work
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of site-related responsibilities
  • Previous experience within a school or educational setting is highly desirable
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
