We are currently looking for a dedicated, patient and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, working closely with the class teacher and wider support team.

Key responsibilities include

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN
• Supporting pupils with their learning, development and engagement
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing and engagement
• Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Working closely with teachers and other professionals to support individual learning plans
• Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

We are looking for someone who is

• Caring, patient and empathetic
• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
• Reliable, enthusiastic and committed
• Able to build strong relationships with pupils
• Confident working as part of a team
• Calm and consistent when supporting challenging behaviour
• Previous experience working with SEN is desirable but not essential for the right candidate
• £13-£15 per hour
• 1 day per week
