ThepostholderwillhaveresponsibilitytosupporttheClinicalEngineeringDepartmentforthedaytoday monitoringandmaintenanceofthecombinedTrust'sMedicalEquipment.Thisincludessupportingthe MedicalEquipmentLibraryinensuringcollectionofdecontaminatedequipmentfromthewardsbackto thedepartment.
- To support the day to day running of the department, including monitoring delivery times of devicesbyporterstothewardandcollectionofequipmentfromthewardstotheDepartment and EquipmentLibrary.
- Ensurethatallequipmentisappropriately decontaminatedinaccordancewithTrustpolicy.
- Regularly updatingtheDepartmentsMedicalDeviceDatabase.Keepauditablerecords andtrack the loans ofequipment.
- To be support the management of Medical Equipment in accordance with Trust procedures.
- To arrange repair and maintenance of medical equipment with internal agencies and external serviceproviders
- To be support on-going maintenance schedules. Ensuring equipment is undamaged and fully fit for use. Perform minor service routines and calibrationprocedures.

- To ensure the tidiness and cleanliness of the Clinical engineeringdepartment.
- To assist in the promotion of ward staff awareness of and monitor the adherence to departmental procedures Including the need to keep equipment on charge, to decontaminate after use and to release equipment after use rather than holding on toit.
- To assist the Equipment Library Manager (ELM) to liaise with the Tissue Viability Nurse regarding the distribution of Negative Pressure wound therapy Pumps(VAC)
- To assist the ELM with the distribution of the Palliative Care Team's T34 Syringedrivers
- ToassisttheLeadEngineeranddepartment&wardstafftogatherinformationonoperational problems relating to the service, and to deal effectively with issues arising during periods of equipmentshortage.
