Brook Street is recruiting for a full-time Project Control Officer to support the effective day-to-day running of the Milton Keynes office.

This is a hybrid role, with approximately 60% office-based and 40% remote working.

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and proactive individual to provide comprehensive support to Programme and Project Managers within a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, helping to ensure the smooth coordination and delivery of programme activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day project support to Programme and Project Managers
  • Act as a main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Organise and coordinate project and programme meetings, including preparing agendas and recording actions/minutes
  • Maintain and manage project documentation and records
  • Monitor and maintain project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID logs)
  • Ensure compliance with governance and commercial review processes
  • Track project budgets and support monthly financial reporting
  • Create and maintain project plans using MS Project
  • Represent the Project Manager at meetings where required
  • Manage programme workflows, allocating and monitoring tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion
  • Build effective working relationships with procurement and commercial teams to support programme delivery
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including tracking security clearance status
  • Assist with planning and monitoring work packages to ensure programme standards are met
  • Support wider reporting requirements for the central Technology & Operations PMO
  • Create and maintain project dashboards and reporting tools

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience working within a Project Delivery or Project Management Office (PMO) environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience maintaining and improving programme RAID documentation
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence handling sensitive information securely and professionally

Desirable

  • Knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project
  • Experience delivering projects or programmes within a secure Government environment
  • Previous experience in an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager role
  • Experience creating and maintaining project dashboards
  • Familiarity with Joiners / Movers / Leavers processes

Security Clearance Requirements

  • Must be a British Citizen (or hold dual nationality).
  • Must have been resident in the UK for at least 2 of the last 5 years.
  • Must undergo Security Check (SC) clearance if not already held.
  • Appointment is subject to a criminal record check and meeting security requirements.
