Service Advisor

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service Advisor position based in Bishop's Stortford. This role offers a stimulating environment within a reputable independent garage or main dealer setting, ideal for experienced Service Advisors seeking to advance their careers.

This Service Advisor role provides a competitive salary of up to £30,000 per annum, with achievable bonuses that can bring earnings to approximately £35,000. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5:30pm, with weekends off, allowing for excellent work-life balance. Our client values driven professionals who possess a solid understanding of parts terminology and workshop operations, combined with outstanding customer service skills.

Duties of a Service Advisor

• Managing customer vehicle bookings and service schedules efficiently
• Providing excellent customer service and delivering accurate information
• Communicating effectively with customers and workshop staff about parts and vehicle requirements
• Ensuring all vehicle service and repair details are accurately recorded
• Prioritising workload in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
• Building strong customer relationships to promote repeat business
• Supporting the workshop team with Parts and workshop support when needed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor, ideally within an automotive workshop environment
• Good understanding of parts terminology and workshop operations
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
• A professional, customer-focused attitude and a proactive approach
