Duties of the
PDI Technician/Service Technician
- Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) to manufacturer standards
- Performing servicing, routine repairs, and maintenance on vehicles
- Conducting vehicle health checks and identifying additional work requirements
- Adhering to manufacturer standards, technical data, and repair procedures
- Collaborating with team members to meet departmental targets and uphold high standards of workmanship
- Ensuring all vehicles are prepared to the highest standards before handover
- Keeping up-to-date with manufacturer training and technical developments
- Contributing to delivering a first-class customer experience
Requirements of the
PDI Technician/Service Technician
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician, or PDI Technician within a main dealership or similar environment
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and fault-finding skills
- Good understanding of servicing, repairs, and vehicle preparation
- MOT Licence is desirable but not essential; training can be provided
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced workshop
