We are seeking an experienced and passionate
Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a newly refurbished children's home supporting
neurodivergent children and young people.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a home that has already been set up for success. The organisation has completed the groundwork, including the
Statement of Purpose, policies, procedures, and operational framework, allowing the successful candidate to focus on securing registration, shaping the culture, building a strong team, and delivering exceptional outcomes for young people.
Your key responsibilities will include submitting the
SC2 application, supporting the final stages of the registration process, managing referrals, developing local authority relationships, and ensuring the home is fully fit for purpose ahead of opening.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum
2 years' experience managing or leading staff within an Ofsted-registered children's home within the last 5 years
- Minimum
2 years' experience working with neurodivergent children and young people

Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare and/or
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Experience
managing referrals and assessing the suitability of placements for young people
- Proven ability to
manage complex safeguarding concerns and lead effective safeguarding practices
- Experience building and maintaining
strong networks with neighbouring local authorities and partner agencies
- Thorough understanding of
Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and relevant legislation
- A track record of ensuring homes
meet and maintain the standards required by Ofsted
