United Response are looking for a hands-on Integration & Automation Engineer to design, build and support integrations, automations, APIs, and data pipelines across our core business systems. Working within the Microsoft technology stack, you’ll play a key role in connecting platforms, improving data quality, reducing manual processes, and supporting major digital transformation programmes, including digital rostering.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions using tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and SQL. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate business needs into practical, supportable solutions while contributing to continuous improvement across the organisation.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for someone with strong experience building and supporting integrations, automations and data pipelines within a Microsoft-focused environment. You’ll have hands-on experience with technologies such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, APIs, SQL, Microsoft Fabric or Data Factory, alongside a solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, validation and quality controls.

You should be confident integrating third-party applications using practical integration approaches, troubleshooting technical issues end-to-end, and delivering resilient, supportable solutions. Experience working with suppliers, coordinating technical delivery, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.

Desirable experience includes Microsoft cloud data tooling, data governance, BI and analytics support, and work within charity, care, housing or public interest sectors.
