Room Leader Level 3 – Kidbrooke, South East London
More2Kidbrooke has an exciting full-time Room Leader opportunity in our Over 2s or PreSchool Room. This is for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner looking to take the next step in their career.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing team at More2Kidbrooke, our beautiful nursery located at 25 Ignatius Sancho Road, SE3 9NJ. Opened earlier this year, the nursery is just a 3-minute walk from Kidbrooke Railway Station and benefits from excellent local transport links.

As a Room Leader, you will play an important role in leading a small team within the nursery, supporting high standards of care, learning and safeguarding while creating a positive and inspiring environment for both children and staff.

MUST have the following

- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years Qualification (NVQ, CACHE, NNEB or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a nursery setting, ideally with some leadership responsibilities
- No more than a one-hour commute to Kidbrooke
Key Responsibilities
- To lead and support a small team of practitioners within the room on a daily basis
- To act as a key worker and maintain strong relationships with children and families
- To support the planning and delivery of exciting, age-appropriate learning opportunities in line with the EYFS
- To oversee observations, assessments and learning journeys within the room
- To ensure high standards of care, safeguarding, hygiene and health & safety are consistently maintained
- To support and mentor junior staff members, students and apprentices
- To work closely with management to maintain a positive team culture and strong outcomes for children
- To contribute to room organisation, staff deployment and the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery
- To monitor children’s progress and support staff in identifying next steps in learning and development
Essential Criteria
- Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
- Previous experience within an Early Years setting
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Confident leading a small team and supporting others professionally
- Food hygiene certificate or willingness to complete one
- Valid 12-hour Paediatric First Aid certificate or willingness to complete training
Working Hours
You will be working 4 days per week (7.30am – 6.00pm) with one weekday off.
