To provide companionship and assist with a variety of social tasks

Main duties

We are seeking a person who is keen to support a 65-year-old man who has a learning disability and lives in Bath. The main focus of the work will be to provide companionship and expand his social opportunities – according to his needs and wishes. R is a very sociable, likeable man who is seeking someone to accompany him on social visits and to support him to keep him connected to family and friends. The main focus of the work will include:

• Visits to cafes and charity shops

• Visits to towns, villages and places of interest in the area surrounding Bath

• Occasional visits to meet with family.

• There is no requirement to assist with personal care.
