Royal Hospital Chelsea • SW3 4SR

Food & Beverage Assistant

About this role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Food & Beverage Assistant to join our Catering & Hospitality team. This varied role involves working across multiple outlets within the Hospital, including supporting events and delivering high-quality service to In-Pensioners, guests, and visitors.

You will be responsible for setting up dining areas and event spaces, serving hot and cold food, and ensuring an excellent customer experience throughout. The role includes working in the Great Hall, as well as assisting with special functions and internal events. You will also help prepare simple food items such as salads, soups, and sandwiches, clear tables, and maintain clean and organised service areas.

We are looking for someone who can work with flexibility, initiative, and minimal supervision, with a natural flair for customer service. Training will be provided, but knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety, COSHH, or First Aid is desirable.

This is a full-time role, working any five days out of seven, including weekends. There are two shift patterns, with core hours typically running from 06:30 to 15:00 or 10:30 to 19:00.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role in a busy and rewarding environment.
