About this role
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities and site operations.
- Coordinate subcontractors and site operatives to ensure efficient workflow.
- Allocate work and monitor productivity across the site.
- Ensure construction work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor quality of workmanship and identify defects or issues requiring corrective action.
- Ensure all works comply with site health and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and report progress to site management.
- Coordinate deliveries, materials, plant, and equipment as required.
- Liaise with engineers, site managers, project managers, and subcontractors.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress, resources, and potential issues.
- Identify programme delays and assist with implementing solutions.
- Ensure site operatives follow RAMS, permits, and other relevant procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, labour, progress, and site issues.
- Support the Site Manager in achieving project targets, deadlines, and quality standards.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a construction supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and site operations.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Relevant construction qualifications, such as
SSSTS/SMSTS, are desirable.
