Lambeth Hospital is the current location of all the local Inpatient wardsfor the borough.As part of ourambitious plans to modernise ourbuildings and services, Lambeth Hospital willbe closingandallourwardsand servicesbasedhere willbe movingtonewlocations.

The mainpurpose of thepostholderwouldbeto join the NDBHprogrammedeliveryteamas the Clinical expert representing the Lambeth and Specialist Directorates and to act as the ClinicalandOperationalReadinessWorkstreamLead;toprovideleadershipandengagement toplan,prepare,trainandexecutethetransitionof ClinicalandSupportservicesintothisnew building. To lead on clinical and patient safetyissues, ensuring they are reported back to the NDBH Clinical and Operational Design Authority.
Theindividualwilllead,developanddeliverythe LambethDirectorate NDBHdecantstrategy supporting cultural, clinical and organisational change to ways of working.
Theywillbe leadingonand responsibleforthedevelopmentanddeliveryof theoperational programme to ensure effective preparation and transfer of services to the new facilities on each site, including workforce preparation and training, familiarisation for staff and service users,strategyforequipmentprocurementandprovision,developmentandimplementation of operational policies and procedures.
Theywillleadthedevelopmentandmonitoringoftransitionalplansforservicestoensure implementation of the new clinical models and associated service changes and improvements through the redevelopment programmes, to enable maximum benefitsrealisation.
Work with therelevant teams/departments involved in NDBH development todiscussdesign solutions, room and furniture layoutsfor wards in NDBH. To update the management teams in Lambeth and Specialist services regarding these decisions. To work with the trust moves teamstoidentifyappropriate newlocationsfordirectoratestaff requiringnewoffice locations.
Workwiththerelevantteams/departmentsinvolvedinNDBHdevelopmenttoapprove fixtures,fittingsandequipmentsamplesfornewhospital buildings via the Reviewable Design Group.

TheNewDouglasBennettHouseontheMaudsleyHospital is a brand new, purpose built accommodation due to house six Lambeth Acute wards and two specialist wards being relocated from other sites.
- To lead the Clinical and Operational Readiness Workstream on behalf of the NDBH project and to actively participate in the NDBH Programme Governance (see below).
- To provide local advice to support the clinical decision making necessary to ensure the new environments can operate safely and effectively and that effective transitions of all services affected by the relocation, can be achieved.
- RegularcollaborationandjointworkingwitharangeofstakeholdersincludingtheCapital Estates and Facilities (CEF), Site Management Team, Project Managers and other NDBH colleagues to fully and safely implement the new Clinical Service Models and ensurethattheredevelopmentofthefacilitiesonbothsitesmeetsclinicalandnon-clinicalneeds.
- To ensure appropriate clinical decisions are made by attending all associated stakeholder forums and providing expert clinical advice on all relevant matters.
- Toensurethedevelopmentanddeliveryofassociatedoperationalpoliciestosupportthe implementation of the new Clinical Service Models and operational commissioning of services within the redevelopments of both sites.
- Project management will include the requirements for clinical and service user participation in the monitoring of the transitional plans and associated service changes and improvements that impact on the Redevelopment designs and/or programmes.
- Thepost-holder will be responsiblefor liaisonwithmanagersand clinical leads whoare involved in the transformation of clinical processes for NDBH Programme.
- The post-holder will determine and ensure the execution of effective clinical processes/operational policies and well-functioning multi-disciplinary teams, and to ensurethenewdevelopmentsenabletheeffectivedeliveryoftheClinicalServiceModels at all stages of the assessment, treatment and aftercare process.
- To work with relevant experts within the Trust and with external contractors to ensure optimal clinical care is achieved from the high quality technology made available.
- The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the co-ordination and management of theinvolvementof staffatalllevelsandfromalldisciplinesin thedesign of thefacilities through the creation and management of a number of clinical groups and forums.
- ToworkwiththerelevantFinanceBusinessPartnersonthemostcost effectivesolution for clinical and operational readiness of the NDBH programme.
- To workwith theNDBHprogrammegroup to developand support safedecantplansfor the services moving in to NDBH.
- To work with all directorates impacted byward moves, and Site Management Team, to ensure sitewide issues such as emergency response and other support services (e.g. ClinicalSupportServices)areaddressed inatimelymannerand safetyisnotimpacted.
- To ensure that any proposed clinical needs that require a change to existing specificationare completed inlinewiththeexpectationslaidoutinthe Trustpolicies and governance.
- Lead on clinical & patient safety in all forums, ensure any new practices that may be a resultof changinglocationareidentifiedandaddressed collaborativelywithnursingand operational directorates.
