About this role

We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity to join our friendly and supportive service as a Rota Co‑ordinator. In this role, you will take responsibility for coordinating medical staffing rotas, managing on‑call schedules within the designated directorates, and leading the development and ongoing management of out‑of‑hours and on‑call rotas for your allocated specialities.

You will oversee sickness, annual leave, study leave, and special leave for all medical staff within the Directorate, working closely with Consultants and the Directorate management teams to ensure effective workforce planning and service continuity.

Unfortunately, there is no Visa Sponsorship available for this role. Whilst we are able to employ candidates on a graduate Visa, we are unable to offer sponsorship once the graduate visa expires.

As the primary point of contact for all medical staff within the Directorate, you will proactively handle enquiries from staff and external agencies in a professional and timely manner. You will support doctors of all grades and specialty teams in rota design, compliance, and monitoring, ensuring adherence to EWTD requirements and the Terms and Conditions of Service for Doctors.

You will coordinate and manage medical staffing rotas, working closely with the Workforce Business Partner and Service Unit Managers to maintain EWTD compliance. Alongside the Service Unit Managers and the Workforce Medical Staffing team, you will also support the onboarding of new junior doctors, attend induction sessions, and ensure that all statutory and mandatory training requirements are met.

Your role will also involve attending a range of internal and external meetings related to rota design, monitoring, and workforce planning.

Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and well being of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.

We aim to make the most of our skills and experiences so we can become the best we can be. As one organisation we will recruit the finest and retain more specialist staff due to more employment opportunities across our Trust.
