//www.nihr.ac.uk/career-development/clinical-research-courses-and-support/associate-principal-investigator-scheme) To conduct all aspects (experimental planning, the gaining of ethical approval, laboratory work, data analysis) of the research project To develop relevant research and clinical skills To develop aims and objectives for a higher degree, to register and prepare grant submissions To record, analyse and communicate scientific data together with a clear interpretation of results To write scientific papers communicating the results of the work, and to present at scientific meetings nationally and internationally To contribute to teaching in the department To join multidisciplinary meetings and participate in clinical governance activities and audit To participate as part of the larger research group as required To participate in departmental managerial activities as required To budget and keep records of expenditure on laboratory consumables Compliance with intellectual property rights, the Data Protection Act 2000, COSHH Health and Safety Guidelines within the laboratory and all other relevant Imperial College policies, including Financial Regulations, the Equal Opportunities Policy, the Promoting Race Equality Policy, the Health and Safety Policy, the Information Systems Security Policy, and the Intellectual Property rights and Register of Interests Policies The postholder will be responsible for accurate record-keeping and documentation of results, and for preparing research reports and papers arising from their research.
