Sort & deliver the roll cages, tote bins/pallets from NHS Supply Chain into delivery areas Deliver all non-stock goods to delivery locations including medical consumables/printing/ stationery consumables/furniture (beds/desks/chairs/fridges)/computer equipment/medical equipment. Ensure that a signature of receipt is obtained for all non-stock items delivered Collection daily of empty roll cages/tote bins, cages are to be collapsed and returned to the agreed area. Liaise with clinical areas daily of any returns (goods) for both NHS Supply Chain or any other supplier. Assist in the receipt of non-stock goods delivered by suppliers check delivery note for accuracy, check outside of parcels for any damage, sign for contents (goods) Assist in checking the contents (goods) against the computerised order and delivery note and enter the details onto the Trusts computerised E Procurement system Create the receipt number and attach to the delivery note. Assist in ensuring that any electrical goods are identified as need to be checked by the EME Technician prior to use Assist in the delivery of urgent medical goods in the event of a Major Incident some sub-headings are suggested below, please use any appropriate for the post) To support the department and organisation by carrying out any other duties that reasonably fit within the broad scope of a job of this grade and type of work. Advisory/Contact Liaise with delivery drives regarding any queries raised at the time of delivery Redirect delivery drives to other delivery areas within the Trust Liaise with medical/administration staff who have any queries regarding their delivery Assist with any telephone queries regarding deliveries Direct patients to the correct appointment area General Deputies in the absence of the R&D Supervisor To have responsibility for Health, Safety and Welfare of self and others and comply at all times with the requirements of Health and Safety Regulations Attend mandatory training, ie manual handling
