The Opportunity

We are partnering with a prominent Further Education college in Bromley to recruit a compassionate, proactive Learning Support Assistant & First Aider. This pivotal role allows you to make a meaningful daily impact, helping young people and adult learners with special educational needs (SEN) overcome barriers to learning, achieve their EHCP targets, and build independent futures.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Provide tailored educational, personal development, and accessibility support to learners with SEN across diverse curriculum areas.

Act as an active, designated College First Aider, responding swiftly to campus medical needs and ensuring learner safety.

Support learners with personal care, mobility needs, and physical well-being with dignity and respect.

Assist in delivering outcomes outlined in individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and person-centred support plans.

Help students develop self-advocacy, study skills, and confidence to access all college services and activities.

Collaborate with teaching staff, support coordinators, and external key workers to update support plans and report progression.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

Essential First Aid certification (or immediate willingness to gain certification), alongside Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Empathetic, flexible, and enthusiastic, with an understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to supporting learners with personal care and mobility needs.

Transport & Commute

Ability to commute reliably to Bromley for a term-time schedule.
