This role offers a rare opportunity to provide senior borough‑wide leadership in a Trust where psychology and the psychological professions are integral to delivering our strategic priorities and improving outcomes for service users. The post‑holder will play a central role in shaping high‑quality, evidence‑based psychological care, ensuring strong professional governance, and driving consistent outcome measurement across borough services. This role requires an individual with substantial senior leadership experience who can operate confidently within complex systems and at borough and Trust‑wide strategic levels.
Leadership, Governance and Management
- Provide senior leadership, governance and management for the Borough psychology provision across Hounslow, including responsibility for the psychological professions workforce within Community MINT teams and specialist services (EIP and CRS).
- Lead workforce planning, service development and transformation initiatives for psychological therapies and interventions within borough‑based Adult Mental Health Services.
- Work in close partnership with Borough clinical, operational and service managers to support integrated, compassionate and recovery‑focused care.
Professional Leadership and Accountability
- Be professionally accountable to the Director of Psychological Professions, ensuring the effective monitoring and implementation of professional standards in applied psychology practice across all Hounslow services.
- Ensure the systematic, high‑quality provision of professional supervision, leadership development and continuing professional development for psychology and psychological professions staff.
- Provide expert professional advice on matters relating to psychological practice, governance, risk and quality.
Quality, Outcomes and Service Improvement
- Ensure the systematic measurement and evaluation of clinical outcomes for service users receiving psychological interventions across Hounslow Adult Mental Health Services
