We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Workshop Controller at their prestigious dealership in Maidstone, Kent. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and proactive professional to lead a high-performing workshop team within a well-established automotive group.
The Workshop Controller will play a key role in ensuring efficient workshop operations, delivering superior customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Duties as a Workshop Controller
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of qualified and apprentice technicians to meet daily workshop demands
- Allocate job cards and manage workloads to optimise productivity and efficiency
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all work adheres to brand standards and quality guidelines
- Oversee technical workshop activities, including EVHC and service booking systems
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and via telephone, supporting the Service Advisor team
- Drive workshop profitability and customer satisfaction through effective operational management
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures
- Keep abreast of industry developments and technical updates to maintain service standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Workshop Controller, preferably within a franchised dealership environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent organisational and IT skills; experience with EVHC software is advantageous
- Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to operational challenges
- A professional and calm manner focused on delivering quality service
- Customer-centric attitude with pride in representing brand standards
