West London | Full-Time | Independent Small Animal Practice

An well-established independent small animal Hospital in West London is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its growing team.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and commercially minded Veterinary Surgeon who is confident managing cases from consultation through to diagnostics, surgery, and ongoing patient care.

The Role

You will be responsible for

  • Managing medical and surgical cases from first consultation through to treatment and follow-up
  • Delivering excellent inpatient and outpatient care
  • Performing a wide range of soft tissue surgical procedures
  • Maintaining high standards of clinical record keeping
  • Building strong relationships with clients through clear and empathetic communication
  • Supporting the wider clinical team and contributing to practice growth

Essential Experience

Applicants should demonstrate strong experience in

  • Soft tissue surgery including gastrotomy, enterotomy, splenectomy, cystotomy, biopsies and amputations
  • Dental procedures including dental radiography and surgical extractions
  • Diagnostic imaging and ultrasound including A-FAST and T-FAST
  • Orthopaedic assessment including cruciate disease, elbow dysplasia and hip dysplasia
  • Managing hospitalised patients and complex medical cases

Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous, but is not essential

  • Laparoscopy or arthroscopy
  • Orthopaedic surgery (TPLO, TTA, fracture repair)
  • Endoscopy
  • Advanced ophthalmology
  • Echocardiography
  • Advanced soft tissue procedures
  • Official Veterinarian status

The ideal candidate will be

  • A confident and capable Veterinary Surgeon with at least 4 years’ clinical experience
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding patient care
  • Commercially aware and motivated to support practice growth
  • A strong communicator with excellent client management skills
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude
  • Adaptable, organised and calm under pressure
