As a Pricing & Promotions specialist at Morrisons, you will play a vital role in supporting our pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness, drive sales, and optimise profitability across our extensive product range. You will work within a dynamic team, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to commercial, marketing, and finance stakeholders. This

role is crucial in understanding market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer behaviour to inform our pricing decisions.

Some of your responsibilities will include

  • Analyse large datasets related to internal price, sales, costs, competitor pricing, market trends, and customer behaviour.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models and reports to monitor performance and identify opportunities or risks.
  • Translate complex data and analysis into clear, concise, and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver reports to communicate findings and recommendations to various business functions.
  • Utilise pricing tools and systems to manage pricing data and execute pricing changes.
  • Own internal governance to policies and proposition guardrails to ensure we are always doing the right thing by our customers and are legally compliant.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has

Knowledge

● Good understanding of the UK grocery retail market and competitor landscape.

● Experience using pricing models, techniques, and tools, including data analysis and forecasting.

● Awareness of pricing legislation and compliance requirements

Skills

ability to analyze large datasets, draw actionable insights, and make evidence-based decisions.

Communication

Good written and verbal communication skills to influence stakeholders and present complex information clearly.

Ability to identify pricing challenges and create innovative solutions.

Experience

● Experience in a pricing or commercial role, ideally within a retail or FMCG environment.

● Good proficiency in using pricing tools, analytics software (e.g., Excel, GCP, SQL)

● Experience in supporting projects to improve processes and deliver results.
