We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join a well-established and highly regarded early years setting in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate practitioner who is committed to supporting young children during the early stages of their development within a nurturing, structured, and engaging environment.
The nursery delivers a thoughtfully planned, play-based curriculum for children aged 2-5, with a strong focus on communication, independence, and holistic development through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). A key strength of the setting is its child-centred approach, supported by a strong key person system that ensures every child receives personalised care and learning opportunities.
Known for its welcoming atmosphere, collaborative culture, and positive relationships with families, the nursery offers a supportive environment where staff are encouraged to develop professionally and thrive within a stable, experienced team.
As a Qualified Nursery Practitioner, you will
- Deliver high-quality, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
- Support children's communication, personal, social, and emotional development
- Act as a key person, building positive and trusting relationships with children and families
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress to support individual learning journeys
- Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to children's interests and developmental needs
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children feel confident to learn and explore
- Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and independence
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education
We are looking for someone who
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
- Has previous experience working within an early years or nursery setting
- Demonstrates a caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young children
- Has a sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- Communicates effectively and works well as part of a team
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one)
- Has the right to work in the UK
- Competitive daily pay of £108-£120, depending on experience
