About the role and school
We are seeking a SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets from September. This SEN Teacher role will be based within a specialist ARP supporting a small cohort of pupils with ASD, ADHD and associated communication and learning needs.
The school has a strong reputation for inclusion and pastoral support, with a dedicated SEN team and well-established provision in place for pupils with additional needs. The SEN Teacher will work closely with support staff, therapists and senior leaders to provide structured, engaging and highly differentiated learning.
This SEN Teacher role is ideal for a practitioner with experience supporting pupils with Autism and additional needs within either mainstream or specialist settings. The school offers a supportive leadership team, excellent classroom support and strong behaviour systems.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and differentiated learning as a SEN Teacher
Support pupils with ASD, ADHD and additional learning needs within the ARP
Plan and adapt lessons to meet EHCP targets and individual needs
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff and parents
Track and assess pupil progress effectively
Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications/Experience
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
· Experience supporting pupils with SEN, ASD or ADHD desirable
· Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills
· Passion for inclusive education and SEN support
· Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
· Right to work in the UK
